Peace of mind for elderly loved ones at home alone

For those of us that have a true concern for our elderly parents or other loved ones who are constantly on our mind as we go about our daily lives. There is a way to acheive peace of mind knowing that if they have a critical situation arise while they are alone they can get immediate help even if they are unable to reach the telephone or unable to speak. It is a proven fact that at least 40% of all elderly people will fall at some point this year and many others will have some other emergency arise whether medical in nature of otherwise. It is inevitable regardless of how healthy and independent they may be. If we could anticipate such terrible things as a fall or stroke or heart attack or other such life threatening occurance then we could plan for it and take measures to prevent and avoid them. The truth is that we can never know in advance when these things may happen and that is exactly why it pays to be prepared in advance rather than wait for it to happen before we take measures to prevent them. For just one dollar per day a person (or 2 people living in the same home) can be protected 24/7 without ever a moment when they are unprotected. (battery back up is included for times of power outages). One of the main objections any elderly person has to using such a service is that deep down inside they feel as if they submit to getting it they are admitting that they are no longer capable of being independent and the next step will be admission to a nursing home or at best be forced to move in with family members and give up the comfort and familiarity of their home. The fact is that having a monitored service such as a medical alarm can have the exact opposite result. By being protected and having a fast and easy link to professional help in an emergency a person can maintain their independence and remain in the comfort of their home with familiar surroundings for many months or years. Many times an elderly person will have an unforeseen accident or other medical emergency (especially diabetics etc) and find themselves on the floor or outside the home on the ground with no way of being able to call for help. There are countless of instances reported each and every day where a similar situation occurs and the individual is forced to lie there for hours (and sometimes days) until someone decides to check on them and many times it is too late by that time. Even for those who have friends or family check on them on a daily basis it is still likely that if a critical situation arises soon after that person makes contact they will be without help for up to 24 hours which can be the difference between life and death especially for any elderly person. If you know someone you would like to see have this important personal protection contact us for additional details or to initiate the service immediately. We are an old company (since 1977) and we service thousands of clients throughout the US as well as Puerto Rico and Guam. We are endorsed by Goodhousekeeping magazine as well as numerous other well known and highly respected organizations and we have a blemish free record with the Better Business Bureau. Goodhousekeeping magazine did thorough research on our company as well as other similar companies offering the same type of service and found us to be #1 in the industry and they published and article in the November 2005 issue titled 'Home Alone'detaling their findings. With us (Connect America) there is never a contract to sign and there is no committment to continue service any longer than a person chooses. There are no hidden charges and the monthly monitoring fee will never increase for as long as the service remains in force. There is no charge for cancellation of the service and all it takes is one quick call to our customer service department to cancel the service. We have trained professionals on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week including all holidays ready and more than willing to assist our clients with any questions or issues such as account updates as well as professionally handling all emergency situations at the push of a button. The transmitter button may be worn as a necklace or on a wristband like a watch and it is totally waterproof so it can be (and MUST be) worn in the shower, bathtub or when swimming. The system is a simple 'plug and play' unit much the same as a telephone answering machine but without the need of any setup. It is user friendly with no confusing features to learn and only a small button to push in time of need.
